Charges
Fixed price: For a guaranteed fixed price and for larger jobs like house moves a home visit is highly recommened, so that we can offer you the very best service and price for your move.
Quotations via email or telephone: For all priced quotes via email or telephone, (without a home visit). Please take the time to calculate items correctly for a fixed price over the phone or via email) This will allow us to keep to our time schedule for the day ahead and also prevent us from having to charge you extra. Because, if on the day items/load differ greatly from the original description at the time of booking (e.g. 15 boxes and 10 items of furniture quoted, turns into 30 boxes plus 20 items of furniture). Additional Charges will be incurred.
Payment terms:
All major debit and credit cards accepted. Bank transfers in advance or same day or cash upon completion. PLEASE NOTE cheques are no longer accepted.
Prior to moving
Please ensure you are prepared and ready to be moved. Where possible, please have all items packed and dismantled as this will save additional time and cost. If you require items to be dismantled / reassembled, please advise us at time of booking. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all items being moved fit into / out of your properties.
Additional arrangements and a return visit may be required should windows or doors need to be removed.
Parking, Tolls and Congestion Zones
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate/legal parking is provided at each end of their move. If permits, suspended parking bays etc are required the customer must make the necessary requirements to ensure fines are not incurred. Any fines incurred as a direct result of overlooking this matter will be added to the final bill. If entering into / through tolls or congestions zone areas, the appropriate charge will be added to the final bill. If parking is restricted outside your property, please be understanding that additional time will be required for walking the extra distance.
Insurance / Breakages / Damage
Any items of value must be pointed out prior to moving and protected accordingly. Additional insurance may be required. We will not be held liable for any damages to items not wrapped or packed by ourselves. We will not be held liable for any damages incurred that go unreported, within 24 hours of the move. We will not be held accountable for any damage made to properties that are not pointed out on the day.
Our Rights to Refuse Carriage
UneedAvan have the right to refuse any load that we feel is unsuitable or not accurately specified at the original booking.
UneedAvan have the right to cancel, cease or not undertake any job where verbal or physical abuse is shown to any members of our staff.
